- I am not confident enough to say “trust your gut feeling”, but I believe that you shouldn’t ignore it. I knew a founder and talked to him sometimes, not too much to understand him. I have no clue to conclude if he is excellent or not. But I did have the gut feeling that he was not reliable. When he applied for one of our incubation program, I rejected him because of this feeling (of course, I had to persuade my team). One month ago, I met him again, which made me question if I was right to make decision with just gut feeling like that. But… yesterday, I happened to meet a founder whose company is competitor with that guy’s. He told me that the guy was very mean, proving with some of his tricks. I was happy to hear that, you know (sorry, but I should, right). Btw, I find the yesterday founder reliable. lol.
- From your story above, “the community is just so small, be nice!”
- Again, I realize that the hardest job in this world is to think of jobs for others to do!
- Today I read a post about the danger of multi-tasking. We all know that multi-tasking is not good. But I love (and get shocked _.___) the way they explain it scientifically like this. Sorry, my dear brain >.<
By multi-tasking, they are attempting to apply the logic of their limbic system — which can only handle simple problems like 10 x 5 — to much more complicated tasks. This is extremely dangerous. Not only will this lead to low-quality work, but it will also strengthen the limbic system, which also motivates us to indulge in unhealthy food, give up on challenging tasks, and skip our workouts. Essentially, the more you multi-task, the weaker your willpower becomes.
