In my company’s culture book, the last tip called the show must go on. I always love this the most and talk about this a lot when delivering on boarding session to newcomers in my team.
When I was younger, I often felt anxious whenever something not good happening to my company. The “not good” thing in my mind was as small as an old colleague left or a client threatened to sue us or can be as big as a new project failed. I was afraid that company was going to fail.
But the more I work in different companies, working closer to more top leaders, the better I realize that challenge can come to any company at any time. The only thing matter is how it – especially its leaders face it . As long as the owners stay calm to confront the challenge, the company will stay.
Of course, I am not telling you to blindly believe the founders. There are bad founders, of course. But don’t give up before your leaders give up. As long as you see that he is still fighting wholeheartedly and you still trust him, choose to stay with him.
And remember that at work, there is no person irreplaceable. Don’t feel panic when an executive leaves. Even CEO can be replaced.
Hey founders, remember that it’s very important to keep a transparent environment. Don’t let the rumor go around the company. It’s more dangerous than your competitors’ new product release. And of course, when there is challenge, always be the last to give up 🙂
The show must go on…
